TORSTAR’S SIX YEAR BRAND PARTNERSHIP WITH MULBERRY HAS STOOD THE TEST OF TIME AND HAS BEEN AT THE FOREFRONT OF THE BRAND’S RELAUNCH IN AUSTRALIA.

TORSTAR partnered with iconic British brand Mulberry on its relaunch with Creative Director Johnny Coca, securing features and shoots with premium Australian print and digital titles including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, marie claire and InStyle.

Johnny Coca joined Mulberry as Creative Director in July 2015. The British sensibility of Mulberry is something that Coca talks about passionately.  He sees mixing these traditional influences with a fresh outlook as being pivotal to the brand’s success. Reasonably new to the brand himself, Coca is in the advantaged position of being able to remember his impression of Mulberry as an outsider and use it to his advantage. Since his reign, Mulberry has gone from strength to strength and the praise of his collections is palpable. Under Johnny’s direction Mulberry have relaunched their iconic Bayswater bag with a modern touch ensuring that a new generation can experience the magic of Mulberry.

“I want to instil a sense of British character and lineage back into the Mulberry brand, building on our heritage rather than creating something completely new. To be truly modern you need to have respect for the past”, says Coca.

The six year successful partnership between TORSTAR and Mulberry has been integral in the amplification of the Mulberry relaunch in the Australian market. TORSTAR continues to lead the way building authentic brand partnerships with media an influencers driving the brand forward this this new direction.
