Australian headwear and accessory brand Helen Kaminski officially launched its Australian flagship in the iconic Queen Victoria Building (QVB) Sydney on Tuesday 18th October, 2016.

The store showcases the new-look retail concept and is an Australian first for the Sydney based brand, following the successful opening of two stores in Tokyo, Japan in March 2016.

Allison Bard, General Manager- Global Brand Director explains, “The new store concept is part of our global repositioning strategy and will serve as a benchmark for future retail development in Australia and other key markets. We wanted to create a welcoming environment where local and international customers can linger, interact with product, and experience the brand in a new way.”

The QVB flagship – opened September 16th – juxtaposes heritage features with minimalist design allowing the quality and craftsmanship of the products to be appreciated in a welcoming gallery-like environment.

The custom-crafted white washed herringbone oak floor softens the aesthetic and breathes the all-important relaxed lifestyle element into the shop floor.

Customers are encouraged to try on pieces in a specially designed mirror that offers viewing from multiple angles, engage with products housed in the signature ‘rollable raffia seed’ display, relax on banquette seating, and view seasonal campaigns on in-store video screens.

Not just a retail space, the store concept is versatile and can be transformed for seasonal VIP events, brand displays, social media showings, intimate styling sessions, and craftsmanship workshops.
