In the middle of the most prestigious event on the Australian Fashion Industry calendar (Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia), TORSTAR proudly hosted internationally renowned SHOPBOP buyer Jenny Fuchs and market editor Kate Johanson for their week long Australian visit.

In the lead up to their arrival TORSTAR focused on building anticipation and hype around the SHOPBOP brand, continuing to cement their position as leaders in their field by achieving editorial coverage in Australia’s highest reach newsprint publication The Sunday Telegraph and highest reaching women’s lifestyle category magazines and websites including Who, POPSUGAR and Who What Wear. As a crescendo, and with the intent of driving further engagement amongst the Australian fashion industry, TORSTAR hosted an intimate dinner at heritage listed site Kensington Street Social to celebrate the SHOPBOP brand and provide an opportunity for Jenny and Kate to meet key media, influencers and Australia’s leading fashion designers. A stellar turn out of Australian fashion royalty: Camilla & Marc Freeman, Nicky & Simone Zimmermann, Camilla Franks and Margaret Zhang attended along with editors from Australia’s top tier publications including ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar, Sunday Style and InStyle. The beautifully curated menu focused on Mediterranean sharing plates that showcased the very best in fresh Australian produce and wine. As a final touch, TORSTAR ensured that guests walked away with an exclusive SHOPBOP gilded coasters which were also displayed as part of the exquisite table setting.
